Sweetwood of Williamstown Retirement Living Community is an independent living community that also provides nursing support in our flexible aging in place model. Sweetwood is a vibrant community of engaged residents, many of whom have ties to Williams College, have an affinity for the cultural attractions in the Berkshires after years of visiting, or have family in the Berkshires. Approximately two-thirds of our residents lived outside the Berkshires prior to moving-in to Sweetwood, and yet, we have a strong connection to the community and our residents are involved in a variety of ways.

Sweetwood includes 70 one and two-bedroom apartments with sweeping views of Mt. Greylock and the well-known Hopper trail in Williamstown, a beautiful terrace overlooking the view for social events and performances, a 60-seat auditorium where our residents enjoy films and other special performances and events including the Sweetwood Lecture Series, fully equipped exercise room, exercise pool, library, internet cafe, endless acres of wooded trails, and more.

Basic services for our residents include elegant dining, housekeeping, 24-hour security and nursing staff, an on-site health center, a banking branch on-site, a beauty shop, gardeners' greenhouse, enclosed parking, daily transportation, and guest accommodations.

We also share a campus with our sister facility, Sweet Brook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, which provides a short-term inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and a greater level of clinical expertise.
