We are an affiliate of National HealthCare Associates, a leader in short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care services throughout the Northeast.
Alzheimer’s / Dementia Special Care
Our entire center is devoted to meeting the special needs of Alzheimer’s/Dementia residents in a safe, caring and secure environment. Our center design fosters a positive and warm atmosphere, encouraging residents from all walks of life to participate in recreational activities. Our goal is to help residents with Alzheimer’s or related dementias maintain their current level of functioning.

Our Residents
We serve residents who exhibit one or more of the following traits:
cognitive decline
high frustration and anxiety levels
disturbances in the sleep/wake cycle
increased nursing needs in the final stages
wandering
behavioral issues
difficulty with performing daily care
Specialized Rehabilitation Program
We offer specialized rehab approaches for long-term care with the goal of maintaining the highest practicable level of functioning. We also offer short-term rehab for those with goals of returning to their prior living environment.
Family Involvement
We support family involvement through:

special events

individualized activities
addressing caregiving and well-being issues

Activity Focus
Our goal is to structure each day with experiences that improve the lives of our Alzheimer’s residents. We use reminiscence therapy to recall life history and social interaction with peers to affirm dignity, identity and self-esteem. Through “failure-free” activities, we strive to provide positive reinforcement. Our program is guided by a creative, innovative staff that is sensitive to the residents’ individual needs.

Community Outreach
We offer educational seminars, public forums, community support groups, volunteer training, a speaker’s bureau, intergenerational programming with educational institutions, and internship programs.
