If you are looking for the best assisted living community in town for your older loved one, ask your neighbors and they will probably tell you one of their friends or relatives has lived and thrived at Middlewoods of Newington.  As pioneers and leaders in Relationship-Centered Care, it is part of our mission to get to know each and every resident and what is important to them in order to plan activities and health care services to meet their interests and desires.  It is equally important that we provide personalized care to meet each person’s individualized needs.  We do this by enlisting consistent caregivers to provide care packages ranging from 15-minutes once a week, all the way up to 24-hours to help our residents age in place in their home.  Our affiliation with the UCONN HEALTH CENTER provides on-site geriatric physician and psychiatry services.  Residents see their doctors at the clinic at Middlewoods of Newington.

The transition into an assisted or independent living community is more seamless when moving into a small community.  Middlewoods of Newington, with its 54 apartments, makes it easier for residents to meet new friends and find their way around the community.  One-floor living encourages ease of movement throughout the community which leads to greater socialization. We offer studio and deluxe studio apartments.

Our comprehensive activities program includes exercise classes 6 mornings a week; live musical entertainment; arts and crafts; complimentary YMCA membership; as well as cultural, intellectual, spiritual, wellness events. Monthly rent includes 3 meals/day, weekly housekeeping and laundry service, basic cable TV service, phone service (with up to $10 in free long distance calls per month) and a wellness clinic with on-site RN. We also provide 24 hour emergency response system by trained staff. Our care packages are designed so you only pay for what you get, and you get what you pay for! We don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach to providing care, each resident is unique and should be treated as such.
