Matelyn Retirement Community - Saint Paul, NE

Matelyn Retirement Community was opened in 2001. We have a very experienced staff; many have worked here since the building was opened. We are a member of the Nebraska Assisted Living Association. We are a privately owned facility. We strive to create a family atmosphere and provide all of our residents with individualized care. We are a small facility so our staff are really able to get to know each of our residents personally and are very good at noticing even the smallest changes.
We are located in St. Paul, NE. St. Paul is a smaller community but we do have a clinic and hospital here in town, both are just a few blocks from our facility. We are located 20 minutes north of Grand Island. We have residents that come to us from many neighboring communities.
Matelyn Retirement Community has 50 apartments; we offer both Independent Apartments as well as Assisted Living Apartments. Although our Independent and Assisted Living apartments are located on separate wings of the facility, our residents participate in activities and meals together as one large community. We work very hard to ensure that all of our residents interact together so that if or when our residents need more assistance and need to move from an Independent apartment to our assisted living it is not such a big change.
