Abbey Manor Assisted Living, located in beautiful Elkton, Maryland is a place many like to call home. We at Abbey Manor offer a warm and inviting atmosphere to all of our residents. At Abbey Manor you will find a lovely entrance that has a cozy porch that is enclosed which leads into a large atrium-style living area where our residents enjoy playing dominoes, a cup of coffee with friends, sing along with a piano, read magazines or relax and enjoy a movie on TV. In the Commons Area, which opens into the Dining Room, our residents enjoy the aroma of home cooking; cooking that comes from the kitchen area. Breakfasts are nutritious and delicious, as well as lunch which features soups, salads and sandwiches and when the weather is nice; we have a patio where residents can enjoy the outdoors. There are two other common areas that are designed for visits with family and friends and other activities and of course, our residentÆs suites. Each suite includes a bedroom and bath with walk-in shower, cable TV and telephone service, emergency pull cords in the bathroom and bedroom and an air-conditioning and heating unit that residents can alter the temperature to fit their comfort needs. To conclude, we also have a full-time Health Services Director and an R.N. who has a solid background in geriatric care. Our director and two house managers "oversee the kitchen, housekeeping, care-giving and activity staff."
